What is Giloy?

Giloy also known as Guduchi in Hindi is a herb known for immunity often also known as Amritavalli or called ‘the root of immortality’.

In Ayurvedic medicine, it is considered to be one of the three Amrit plants along with garlic and haritaki. Revered for its medicinal benefit for centuries, the benefits of giloy have also been approved by the FDA.

P.S- It has beautiful heart shaped leaves, which also finds representation in our brand logo!

The Making of Neem Giloy Brew

Our Neem Giloy Brew is packed full of benefits of both the giloy stem and giloy leaves. At our farm we grow two variants of giloy; neem giloy and amla giloy. A climber plant, giloy takes on the added properties of its host plant so the giloy on the neem tree is considered to be the most medicinal variant of giloy. This particular Giloy-creeper grew on our generation-old Neem tree, ensuring that the plant gets the added benefits of Neem as well. While the one on the Amla tree has the properties of the host Amla tree.

  • Giloy is an immunomodulator herb and in Sanskrit often called ‘amrita’ is excellent for boosting immunity, digestive function, detoxifying the blood, and anti inflammatory.
  • Parijat is particularly good for reducing pain, inflammation in the body and for relieving cough and bronchial functions.
  • Shyama (purple tulsi) is the most medicinal form of tulsi.

All three are grown on our farm, sun dried and hand crushed to give you this very potent and effective jar in combating viral infections. The taste palate for this is bitter, it’s an acquired taste and we actually love it.
